FAQs
Are these classes only for people with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstructions?
No, not at all. While the rehab flow is based on a typical ACL rehabilitation, the principles apply to most other knee injuries and the classes are tailored to everyone's needs.
Do I have to be an elite athlete to join?
No, anyone can join the classes. Good quality rehab is applicable and should be available to everyone, not just elite athletes.
Can you take the levels more than once?
Yes, rehabbing an ACL injury/surgery usually takes longer than 18 weeks. This applies to many other knee injuries as well. The levels are designed to be taken more than once and progression is based on knee assessment/symptoms and meeting functional criteria, combined with the goals you have! Each person is different and so is the injury.
I can't make all the classes, what hapens then?
We get that life is busy and things happen. The current policy is that you can have up to 3 make-up classes for missed sessions. These make-up classes can be done up to 3 months from the date of the last class of a session.
Can I use my physiotherapy benefits for these classes?
Yes, these classes can be submitted to insurance plans with physiotherapy benefits. An itemized receipt is provided after the last class that can be submitted to any applicable insurance company for reimbursement. Please note that payment is required before the classes begin and submission to any insurance can only be done after the classes end.
Direct billing is not an option for The Knee Classes has at this time.
Do I have to have had surgery to join these classes?
